Hippoglyph
A downloadable game
Hippoglyph is a platform for text gaming. This is a demo without the editor, and without Nexus, the chat server for connecting to games being hosted. With a redesign of the client and character mechanics, you'll be able to play a variety of user created content while advancing with the same character.
Check out: otterapps.tumblr.com for pretty much the same information, and a link to the kickstarter page. Development will continue no matter what, but support would help a lot. It's in a wild state right now, with more content and redesign on the way. Any play-testing and feedback would also help a lot.
The default world, Maia is something I’ve worked on for years now, providing a rich environment to explore and possibly inspire your own. The character system is extensive with hundreds of abilities and class combinations, for exploring user created worlds with.
I was a huge fan of text based MUDs back in the day, but I feel they’re very underrated now. You just can’t have the same experience with a movie that you can with a book, and interactive imagination is state-of-the-art. I hope this project can breathe some life into that; an adventure so real it might as well be a dream.

Hi, please could you consider adding accessibility for screen reader users? I've got a screen reader called NVDA, but when I run the game, NVDA does not read anything on the screen at all. For a text-based game, this is really disappointing as this looks like the kind of thing I would really enjoy.
